Bagnalls Beach located in Corlette is a good length for to stretch your legs. Imagine a beach that holds a Doggie Christmas Party every year complete with a Santa that brings Doggie gifts! This beach is unique as are Dogs Permitted on and off leads if the dog is controlled. It’s a favourite for the locals to get out and stretch their legs, picnic, and it’s a water sports beach. When the winds right kite surfing is awesome here. On a calm day, a leisurely kayak is perfect due to the fact there is no swell.
As you walk look closely in the gum trees around midway and you may see some Koalas. You can park at three points. At the end closest to Nelson Bay there are BBQ facilities, toilets and showers, playground and a large shady park. The entrance to the middle is hidden near the roundabout to Port Stephens drive. There is another bathroom facility and outdoor shower with a great big shady park. It is a lovely view of the Bay from the beach at midway. At Corlette end of Bagnalls Beach car park there is a playground.
To link all three points there is a fantastic walking track that runs parallel to the beach. The track is surrounded by lush trees making it a pretty walk.
