Dutchmans Bay in Nelson Bay
Dutchmans Bay in Nelson Bay is a locals favourite for the family. People come to Dutchmans Bay, affectionately known as Dutchies for the whole day. There are picnic tables and BBQ’s at both ends of the beach. The end closest to Corlette has a fabulous playground, and the end closest to Nelson Bay has toilets. Parking is at both ends, with limited spaces during the busy season.
There is a peaceful walking track that joins the two ends. At Dutchies Beach the waters are quiet and calm, great for swimming. From the eastern end of the beach take a scenic 500m stroll or bike ride on the path around the headland to the Nelson Bay Marina. Enjoy the bushland setting and glorious views of the Port Stephens harbour. Alternatively explore the western end of the beach which leads you on to the tranquil bush track that runs parallel to Bagnalls Beach
Five minutes’ stroll away is Anna Bay village, which has a supermarket, butcher, fruit and vegetable store, bottle shop and gas station. There are takeaway shops and a popular bistro at Anna Bay Tavern.
