Fly Point located in Nelson Bay

Fly Point is the very end Of Nelson Bay Beach (closest to Little Beach). It is the beginning of the Marine Park, a haven for diving and snorkelling. Or from the small rocky beach in the middle, wade in the shallow waters and feed the fish. See our Diving and Snorkelling page for more information. Fly Point has beautiful sunsets. It is normally always very sheltered and calm, therefore a great beach for small children. There is a large grass area across from the beach with amputheatre that you can hire through Port Stephens Council. Or the covered BBQ tables are great for family gatherings. You can picnic and BBQ here too. This is a popular spot to watch the New Year’s Fireworks.
