Paddling with a local qualified guide can make all the difference. Our guides possess a broad knowledge of the Port Stephens waterway. They have knowledge of wind, tide, currents, where dolphins and other wildlife are commonly seen, where to go and where not to go.
All of this knowledge can make your time on a kayak a fun, safe & rewarding experience. Kayaking with a group is ultimately the safer bet. Safety in numbers! Not to mention the chance to meet new friends while you’re out there.
Port Stephens Paddlesports only uses SIT ON TOP kayaks for tours and hire. The Sit On Top Kayaks, and Stand Up Paddle Boards have been hand picked, tested and chosen for stability, ease of paddling, safety and versatility as priorities. You will get wet when paddling but that’s part of the fun.

- Discovery Kayak Tour
Departs: 8:00am
Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours.
An eco adventure that goes beyond the boundaries and discovers all the horizons of Port Stephens looking out for dolphins and other wildlife along the way.
- Sunset Kayak Tour
Departs: 1.5 hours before sunset.
Duration: 1.5 hours.
We’ll be going with the flow on this journey, witnessing the sun setting and colourful reflections upon the waters of Port Stephens. Sparkling wine provided and juice for the kids.
- Stand Up Paddle Tour
Departs: 8:30am
Duration: 1.5 hrs.
The new SUP Tour provides the perfect start to a bright and healthy day. The paddle offers a calm and serene experience, combined with enough exercise to energize you. Glide through the tranquil surrounds of Marine Park sanctuaries with the Zen power of morning skies hovering above you.
