Tailor Made Fish Farms operating since 1997 is a commercial aquaculture business located in Port Stephens NSW. TMFF is recognized in Australia and overseas as an expert in land based intensive aquaculture farming. The company has invested several million dollars pioneering land-based aquaculture technology and applied this to Australia’s first successfully Integrated aquaculture + hydroponics System.
In 2006 they built the new improved model that demonstrates how a fully functioning commercial model should be built. This new model produces 1,000 kilograms of clean healthy fish per week every week from only 1500 square metres of floor space. Tailor Made Fish Farms at Port Stephens has become efficient enough to be the largest producer of Barramundi in the state of New South Wales Australia.
The hydroponic production system re-uses nutrient rich wastewater from the fish production facility to grow vegetables and herbs. The system provides a commercially viable food production system that is environmentally friendly, sustainable and responsible.

Tours and Function Centre
Guided tours are available 7 days a week and run twice daily at 11am & 2pm. They cater for bus groups. You choose the package that suits your timetable and budget.
Tour of the Barramundi & Hydroponics production Facilities allow (1 Hour) add ½ hour for Morning or Afternoon Tea and 1 hour for Lunch. Our Facilities have an air-conditioned option for very hot or cold days, there is good access for wheel chair or walkers, and a sound system so that everyone can hear the informative talk that is part of the Tailor Made tour and food experience.
